Travel information

By train

The closest (high-speed) train station is Modane, which is 7km far from Aussois.

By train, Modane is 4:30 away from Paris (Gare de Lyon station or Charles de Gaules - TGV station), 2:30 away from Lyon (Part Dieu station or Saint-Exupéry TGV station), and 1:30 away from Turin.

You can purchase train tickets on the official website of French Railways or Italian Railways or on the Capitaine Train website which offers interesting features when buying from abroad.

Then, you can reach Aussois from Modane by taxi, see below.

By car

The coordinates of the conference location are 45.2130/6.7676.

From highway A43, take exit 30 (Modane Haute-Maurienne-Vanoise). Follow D1006 up to Modane, cross the city and turn left the the direction of Aussois (D215).

By carsharing

Find a lift on Blablacar or Covoiturage Libre.

By plane

The closest airports are Chambéry, Grenoble, Lyon, Genève et Turin. You may also consider landing at Paris and then connect by train

How to reach Aussois from Modane 

You need a taxi to complete your travel from Modane train station to the village of Aussois. Two options :

• you can book by yourself there : taxi (7/7 and 24/24): Taxi Marius, telephone: +33 6 15 19 13 55 or +33 4 79 83 33 20.

• you can fill the following doodle, so that with the centre Paul Langevin we can prebook shared taxis. Note however that we cannot cover the taxi fees. Deadline to fill the doodle is October 4th. Fees on Sunday should be 28 € per persons for taxi loading 1 to 3 persons, 8€ per person for minibus taxi (5 or more).
